48:13 – Kasabian

48:13 is the fifth studio album by English rock band Kasabian, released in June 2014. The title refers to the total running time of the album, which is the shortest in the band’s discography. The album features a more electronic and minimalist sound than their previous albums, influenced by genres such as hip hop, dubstep and trap. The album received generally positive reviews from critics, who praised the band’s experimentation and energy, but also noted some inconsistency and filler tracks. The album debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart, becoming their fourth consecutive number one album in the UK. It also charted well in other countries, including Australia, Belgium, Ireland and Switzerland. The album spawned four singles: “Eez-eh”, “Bumblebeee”, “Stevie” and “Bow”. The band supported the album with a world tour that included headlining slots at Glastonbury Festival and V Festival.
