Bachman–Turner Overdrive (BTO) was a Canadian rock band that released their ninth and final studio album of original material in 1984. The album, also titled Bachman–Turner Overdrive, featured the original BTO members Randy Bachman, Tim Bachman, and C.F. Turner, along with Garry Peterson, who replaced Robbie Bachman on drums. The album was produced by Randy Bachman and released on Compleat Records, a subsidiary of Mercury.

The album’s opening track, “For the Weekend”, was the only single from the album and also had a music video. It reached #83 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it the last BTO single to chart by any formation of the band. The album’s other songs included hard rock tunes such as “Just Look at Me Now”, “My Sugaree”, “Another Fool”, “Toledo”, and “Service with a Smile”, as well as C.F. Turner’s ballad “City’s Still Growin'” and Randy Bachman’s pop-rock song “Lost in a Fantasy”.

The album received mixed reviews from critics and did not sell well, peaking at #191 on the Billboard 200 and #85 on the Canadian Albums Chart. It was the last BTO album to feature Randy Bachman, who left the band again in 1985. The remaining members continued to tour as BTO until 1988, when they disbanded. The band has reunited several times since then with different lineups, but has not recorded any new material.

Bachman–Turner Overdrive is a must-have album for any fan of Canadian rock or classic rock music. It is a timeless classic that continues to be enjoyed by listeners of all ages.
