In 2013, Hawkwind released a double album called Decades: 90s, which collects some of their best songs from the 1990s. This decade was a turbulent time for the band, as they faced lineup changes, legal battles, health issues and financial problems. However, they also produced some of their most creative and diverse music, exploring genres like techno, ambient, folk and metal.

Decades: 90s features 24 tracks from six different albums: Space Bandits (1990), Electric Tepee (1992), It Is the Business of the Future to Be Dangerous (1993), White Zone (1995), Alien 4 (1995) and Distant Horizons (1997). Some of the highlights include the epic Out of the Shadows, the catchy Right to Decide, the atmospheric LSD, the heavy Death Trap and the experimental Sputnik Stan.

The album also includes some rare and unreleased tracks, such as a live version of Images, a remix of Blue Skin and a demo of Love in Space. The album showcases Hawkwind’s ability to reinvent themselves and experiment with new sounds, while staying true to their space rock roots. Decades: 90s is a must-have for any Hawkwind fan or anyone interested in the history of space rock.

The album Decades: 90s features a mix of original material and cover songs, and it showcases Hawkwind’s continued evolution during the 1990s. The album was a commercial success, reaching number 1 on the UK Indie Albums chart.
