Forever Free is the eleventh studio album by the British heavy metal band Saxon, released in 1992. The album marked a return to the classic Saxon sound and style, after experimenting with a more melodic and polished direction on their previous two albums. The songs on Forever Free are mostly fast and energetic, with powerful riffs and soaring vocals by Biff Byford. The album also features some acoustic and bluesy elements, such as on the title track and Iron Wheels, a tribute to Byford’s father. Forever Free received positive reviews from critics and fans, who praised the band’s performance and songwriting. The album reached number 49 on the UK Albums Chart and number 142 on the Billboard 200 in the US. Forever Free is considered one of Saxon’s best albums of the 1990s and a classic of the genre.
