No Mean City is the name of the tenth studio album by the Scottish hard rock band Nazareth, released in January 1979.

The album title was inspired by a 1935 novel of the same name, and the cover art was illustrated by Rodney Matthews.

The album marked a change in the band’s sound, as they added guitarist Zal Cleminson of The Sensational Alex Harvey Band to their lineup.

The album featured songs such as “Star”, “May the Sunshine” and “No Mean City (Parts 1 & 2)”.

The album was well received by critics and fans, and reached the top 40 in the UK and Norway.

No Mean City is considered to be one of Nazareth’s best albums. It is a hard rock album with some heavy metal influences and it features some of the band’s most popular songs. The album is worth checking out for fans of hard rock and heavy metal.
