Renegades – Rage Against the Machine


Renegades is the fourth and final studio album by American rock band Rage Against the Machine, released in 2000. The album consists of covers of songs by artists such as Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Cypress Hill, and MC5. The album was produced by Rick Rubin and features guest appearances by B-Real and Sen Dog of Cypress Hill. Renegades showcases the band’s musical influences and pays tribute to their political and social heroes. The album received mostly positive reviews from critics and fans, who praised the band’s energy and creativity in reinterpreting the songs. Renegades was also a commercial success, reaching number 14 on the Billboard 200 chart and selling over two million copies worldwide. The album spawned two singles, “Renegades of Funk” and “How I Could Just Kill a Man”, both of which were accompanied by music videos. Renegades was the last album released by Rage Against the Machine before their breakup in 2001.
