Revelation is the thirteenth studio album by American rock band Journey, released in June 2007. It was the first album to feature lead singer Arnel Pineda, who joined the band in 2007 after being discovered on YouTube by guitarist Neal Schon. The album consists of 11 new songs, 11 re-recorded classics, and a live DVD of a concert in Las Vegas. Revelation marked a return to the band’s classic sound and style, while showcasing Pineda’s powerful vocals and Schon’s guitar solos. The album received positive reviews from critics and fans, who praised Pineda’s performance and the band’s rejuvenated energy. Revelation debuted at number five on the Billboard 200 chart, selling over 196,000 copies in its first week. It was certified platinum by the RIAA in October 2008, making it the band’s first platinum album since Trial by Fire in 1996. Revelation also spawned three singles: “After All These Years”, “Never Walk Away”, and “Where Did I Lose Your Love”, which all reached the top 20 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart. Revelation was a commercial and critical success for Journey, proving that they could still make great music with a new singer and a new decade.

Revelation is considered to be a comeback album for Journey. It helped to re-establish the band as a major force in the rock music scene, and it set the stage for their successful subsequent tours.
