Turn Up The Quiet is the thirteenth studio album by Canadian jazz singer and pianist Diana Krall, released in 2017 by Verve Records. The album features Krall’s interpretations of eleven classic American songs, mostly from the Great American Songbook, with a focus on romantic ballads and bossa nova tunes. The album showcases Krall’s intimate and expressive vocal style, as well as her elegant and sophisticated piano playing. The album also features collaborations with renowned jazz musicians such as Christian McBride, Russell Malone, Marc Ribot, and Tony Garnier. Turn Up The Quiet is a tribute to Krall’s longtime producer and mentor Tommy LiPuma, who died shortly before the album’s release. The album received critical acclaim and was nominated for two Grammy Awards, including Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album and Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical.
