With a Little Help From My Friends is the title of the debut album by the English singer Joe Cocker, released in late April 1969. The album features Cocker’s distinctive versions of popular songs of varying genres, such as the Beatles’ “With a Little Help From My Friends”, Bob Dylan’s “Just Like a Woman”, and Ray Charles’ “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood”. The album was certified gold in the US and peaked at number 35 on the Billboard 200. Cocker performed the title track live at Woodstock in 1969 and at the Party at the Palace concert in 2002 for the Golden Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. The album is considered one of the best examples of Cocker’s soulful voice and expressive style.
